Netizens criticised a report on the alleged discovery of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 pilot, Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah reported by a bogus by online portal, worldnewsdailyreport.com.

The news went viral and word spread like wildfire alleging that ‘Captain Zaharie’ was being treated at the Taipei Adventist Hospital after several villagers found him suffering from dehydration and amnesia on the banks of Tangshui river.

This impetuous attitude is viewed by netizens as foolish and inconsiderate especially towards the pilot’s family and all parties related to the incident.

Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai Friday debunked the report and stressed that the ministry will provide updates on MH370 and any related information must be referred to the ministry first.

The photo accompanying the report was an image of Aung Myo Oo, a Myanmar migrant worker warded in Hospital Kuala Lumpur after being attacked in 2013.

It also published a photograph of Malaysian Deputy Director-General of Health Dr Jeyaindran Sinnadurai, who was wrongly identified as Dr Syed Boon Sulong.

The Malaysian consulate in Taiwan has confirmed that the report is false.
