Ten new faces, including famous celebrity Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor, have been appointed as the second batch of ambassadors for the National Transformation 2050 (TN50).

The appointment was announced by Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin who also expressed hope that these new ambassadors would encourage more involvement from the youths to be part of TN50.

"TN50 is not a governments propaganda, but it is the aspiration of the people. With the new line up, we hoped that the message will reach the people, especially the youths," he told a press conference here.

According to Khairy, 700,000 youths have been reached through various programmes and engagement and more than 30,000 hopes and aspirations have been gathered.

The nine other newly-appointed TN50 ambassadors Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah deputy president Arthur Joseph Kurup, musician Gabriel Fairuz Louis, Fatwa expert Datuk Izhar Afiff, ABIM executive officer Jufitri Joha, JuaraGym founder Ben Uzair, fine arts artist Anniketyni Madian, entrepreneurs Juliana Lim and Esther Michael, and marine activist Nadhirah Mohd Rifai.

Neelofa, during the press conference, thanked Khairy for the appointment and said she was positive that she could help in promoting TN50 to her followers, especially through the social media.

"I will work hard to reach out to the youths especially and help create a better Malaysia in the future," said the celebrity who has 4.7 million followers on Instagram alone.

During the press conference, Khairy said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak was expected to launch "TN50 - Circle of the Future" on May 26 where the collected feedback would be discussed and chosen by specialists in making it as the national aspiration.

TN50 is an initiative to plan for the future of Malaysia in the period 2020 to 2050 launched by Najib early this year.
