Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz welcomes Sarawak’s decision to withdraw the participation of its representative in Malaysia Tourism Board with immediate effect.

He, when contacted by Astro AWANI, said Sarawak's decision is in line with Tourism Malaysia's decision to close down its offices in Sarawak in January.

"I will not act childish and punish Sarawak for their decision, in fact I accept their decision and I promise to continue to do justice to the state," he said.

According to a statement released by the Chief Minister’s Office today, the decision was made over the duplication of roles and functions between the state and federal government tourism boards.
