Inspector-general of police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar via a WhatsApp message to Astro AWANI today said several reports had been made against Nazri and confirmed that a statement would be taken from the minister soon.

“Not the Sedition Act but under Section 505(b) of the Penal Code,” said Khalid as he amended a media report sent early this morning.

Meanwhile, 46 Indian NGO’s have also lodged a police report against Nazri following his statement against TMJ. They also urged the minister to retract the statement and apologise to Tunku Ismail.

Apart from that, Johor state exco member Datuk Zulkurnain Kamisan in a statement made yesterday, also advised Nazri not to be brash.

“I urge the minister to reflect on himself as the ministerial position should not be used as a tool to be brash.

“The people of Johor have never disobeyed and we will oppose any elements which could damage the unity of the people here,” said Zulkarnain as quoted in a report by Malaysiakini.
