The government will be launching a national blueprint for the Indian community in January next year to help the community in the socio-economic aspect.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak in his speech at MIC's 70th annual general meeting said the plan will be a living document which will cover all aspects.

"A secretariat will be set up to identify and carry out the implementation of government policies to the Indian community," he said.

"The plan will solve many problems in the implementation of our policies to the community. We have many good policies but they were not fully implemented due to many issues," he said.

He said the plan will help the government to identify issues of concern at the root and ensure implementation issues do not arise.

"For example, the government has given allocation to build national-type Tamil schools. Some has kindergarten and some doesn't," he said.

"So the plan will ensure all school has kindergarten," he said.
