Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad urges all quarters who had voiced their unanimous support towards Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to also declare their support over the government-owned strategic investment fund,1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).

According to Dr Mahathir, those who had pledged support for Najib should also support 1MDB’s move to go to the market to make a loan of a staggering RM42 billion as well as the failure to provide answers on where the money had gone to.

“Do you support (the move) that the billions of ringgit were stashed in Cayman Islands?

“Do you also support (the move) that after the money was brought home, it was kept in a Swiss Bank in Singapore?

“Do you support the explanation that the money was never brought home to Malaysia by the Prime Minister and Finance Minister because he will be bombarded by Bank Negara with plenty of questions,” asks Dr Mahathir in his latest blog post on chedet.cc today.

Dr Mahathir also questioned the quarters who had questioned his move to criticise Najib openly over the latter's seemingly reluctant to answer the questions he posed to the latter.

The veteran politician cited several examples including the RM42 billion debt and the murder of a Mongolian model, Altantuya Shaariibuu in 2006.

“I’d like to question Najib's supporters here, is it okay that their support translates to the loss of the RM42 billion? It is not even necessary to explain where the money had gone to?

“If you feel it is fine, then ask Daim, Tengku Razaleigh, Shahrir Samad and Khairy Jamaluddin to keep quiet,” he said.
