Datuk Seri Najib Razak said he wasalwaysready and committed to meet and have dialogues with any non-governmentalorganisations(NGOs) to discuss national and social matters.

The prime minister said: "However, the meetings and dialogues must becarriedout in a calm and positive manner so that they will benefit all of us.

"If we are sincere and open, the discussions and dialogues can bringpositiveoutcomes for the common good," he said in his latest entry in his blog, NajibRazak.com.heretoday.

Najib said this following the cancellation of the dialogue program betweentheprime minister and the NGOs titled 'Nothing to Hide'organisedbySukarelawanPeguam Malaysia (SukaGuam) which was planned to be held at the Dewan Tun Hussein Onn, Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), here at 10am today.

Earlier, the Prime Minister's Office disclosedinits Facebook website todaythatNajib did not attend the program due to the security factor as advised byInspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.

Meanwhile ata press conference this afternoon, Khalid said the decision todirectthe cancellation of the program was made as the police had receivedinformationthat there would be security threats affecting public order.

Based on the information, the decision to cancel the dialogue was made under Section 103 of the Criminal Procedure Code, Khalid said.
