Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on Monday night said he has never been afraid of accepting criticisms.

However he said it was important that every criticism hurled at him must be constructive and could be beneficial.

"(Criticisms) say it is not right but does not say what is right.

"Dispute saying that the government has no deals, if there are no deals which government can build many universities...how to implement development for the country," he said.

Najib was speaking at the breaking of fast with students of public and private higher education institutions and teacher education institutions at his official residence, Seri Perdana here.

He and wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor also joined the 1,700 guests to perform the Maghrib, Isya dan Tarawih prayers.

The prime minister said everything that was undertaken by the government was not done at its whims and fancy but after being thought thoroughly, including the benefits to be enjoyed by the people.
