The counters of Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council (PPZ-MAIWP) tithe collection centre at the National Mosque are busy since this morning to cater to Muslims eager to pay tithes.

PPZ-MAIWP deputy chief executive officer Abdul Hakim Amir Osman said the public pay tithes at the last moment before the end of 2016 to qualify for individual income tax rebate for next year's tax assessment.

"Do take advantage of the last two days to get an individual income tax rebate for next year's tax assessment," he told reporters at 'A Day With PPZ-MAIWP Tithes Payers', here Thursday.

PPZ-MAIWP had opened more tithe payment counters at Taman Shamelin Perkasa Cheras, Section 5 Wangsa Maju, Precinct 9 Putrajaya, Diplomatic Precinct 15 Putrajaya, Anjung Niaga Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Al-Imam Al-Ghazali Mosque Kepong, Abd Rahman Bin Auf Mosque Jalan Puchong, Kampung Baru RAH Plaza, Pudu Sentral UTCKL and Labuan Times Square, Labuan.

The counters operate from 8.15 am to 8 pm except the PPZ-MAIWP counter at Pudu Sentral UTCKL which operate from 8.15 am to 10 pm. -- BERNAMA
