Suspended UMNO deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said he will attend the March 27 gathering which calls for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to step down.

Speaking at a press conference today, Muhyiddin also confirmed that he had received an invitation to attend the event from its organiser, former Law Minister Datuk Zaid Ibrahim.

InsyaAllah, because even now I don’t have much opportunities to speak,” he said at a special press conference held today at his office at Bukit Damansara.

“I was told by Zaid that he wants to hold a gathering to gather several fighters in the country to voice out our displeasure towards the leadership. I think we are on the same page,” he said.

“So based on that, Insyallah I will attend,” he said.

At the press conference today, Muhyiddin who was suspended from his number two position in the party vowed to remain in the party but will continue to correct mistakes in UMNO.
