The Malaysian Trades Union Congress (MTUC) today suggested the government to set up a National Anti-Bully Council to address the problem.

Its secretary-general, J.Solomon, in a statement today, said the setting up of the council was necessary to carry out a comprehensive and holistic study on the issue, as well as make recommendations to overcome the problem.

He said the setting up of the council would also create awareness, as well as provide avenue, for victims of bullying to go to for help and create a bully-free environment.

Bullying does not only happen a workplace and it exists in all forms, including depriving people of their rights,salary for workers, intimidation and violence.
