The four foreign tourists who were charged in the Sessions Court here yesterday with committing an obscene act on Mount Kinabalu left Sabah today.

British national Eleanor Grace Hawkins, 23; Dutch national Dylan Thomas Snel, 23; and siblings, Lindsey Peterson, 23, and Daniella Anne Louisa, 22, who are Canadian nationals, checked-in for a flight to Kuala Lumpur about 10am today.

Sabah police commissioner Datuk Jalaluddin Abdul Rahman, when contacted, confirmed the matter.

Yesterday, Sessions Court judge Dean Wayne Daly sentenced the four tourists to three days jail and fined RM5,000 each, in default three months jail, after they pleaded guilty to committing the obscene act on Mount Kinabalu.

They were charged with committing the offence by being naked at the peak of the mountain at 6.45am on May 30. They were ordered to serve the jail sentence from the date of their arrest, which was June 9.

All of them paid the fine.
