The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) is looking at ways to further develop innovative products invented by school students in the country that have received various recognition.

Its Deputy Minister, Ahmad Amzad Hashim said, for that purpose, various efforts could be implemented starting from the initial stage of idea generation, product research as well as commercialisation.

“I have also discussed the matter with Deputy Education Minister II Muslimin Yahaya,” he told reporters after opening the Kuala Terengganu Parliament Community Service Centre here today.

Ahmad Amzad said, among the invention that has the potential to be commercialised is a product that can be used to treat water called ‘Pads-Clay’, invented by Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Panji Alam students.

The innovative product has made the country proud by winning various awards at the 11th European Exhibition of Creativity and Innovation held in Romania in May last year. - BERNAMA
