Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak during his visit to KL Sentral on Wednesday said he found long queues of people waiting for their turn to purchase tickets.

The visit to KL Sentral was to gain public's opinion on public transportation in the Klang Valley.

He said he had called the Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) president, Lt. Col. (B) Sarbini Tijan, on Thursday morning and shared his opinion andobservationat KL Sentral.

"I was told today several actions have beentaken includingthe addition of two more ticket counters, one fornorth-boundand the othersouth-bound," he wrote in his blog yesterday.

He said he was informed that two more staff have been added to issue tickets manually.

"I hope the improvements can help the people to use public transport in a more comfortable manner," he said.

Najib also thanked the KTMB president for his quick action.
