Malaysia Airlines (MAB) confirmed that its MH725 flight experienced a damaged tyre upon landing at Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta Airport amidst heavy rain on Tuesday.

In a statement on Facebook, the airline said all passengers and crew landed safely with no injuries.

Currently, the airline is working with airport authorities to provide assistance and ensure the wellbeing of the passengers and crew.

The return flight, MH724 from Jakarta to Kuala Lumpur which is scheduled to depart at 7.50pm today was also cancelled.

The airline said passengers will be reallocated to other flights.
