On July 30, the world was jolted with the news of a discovery of an aircraft debris that washed up on the shores of Reunion Island the day before, kicking into gear speculations that the piece of flaperon could be from the missing Malaysia Airlines aircraft, MH370.

It has since been confirmed that the flaperon belongs to a Boeing-777 plane, the same plane that was used on the MAS flight that was en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, China on March 8, 2014, before it went missing several hours after take off.
