Malaysia and the other members of the Dutch-led team of international investigators were weighing their options in bringing those responsible for the downing of Malaysia Airlines' Flight MH17 to justice.

The options were to either proceed with national prosecution or choose an international tribunal.

Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Abdul Aziz Kaprawi said any decision would only be made after investigations are complete and the culprits identified.

"The MH17 Joint Investigative report released on Sept 28, 2016 did not identify who is responsible for the shooting and investigations into the matter are still ongoing.

"As such, we can only decide on the next course of action after investigations are complete and there is strong evidence to bring the perpetrators to justice," he told the Dewan Rakyat today.
