The discovery of the mass graves near the 17 tents believed to be used to house refugees, could have links to human trafficking activities.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the Inspector General of Police and his deputy are already at the location, gathering more information.

"The police forensics are exhuming the graves and several forensic tests will be carried out,” Ahmad Zahid said in a press conference at the Parliament lobby today.

“The tests are not only to determine how many bodies were buried there but also to identify if the bodies are of the Rohingya people or Bangladeshi who are victims of human trafficking as the discovery of the mass graves is believed to be linked to human trafficking activities,” he said.
