Last night, a man allegedly beat up his brother until the latter peed in his pants. The victim then went to sleep.

Today, he didn't wake up.

The 40-year-old suspect, who works gathering recyclable items, was arrested by police at his home in Sikamat, Seremban this morning, BH Online reported.

The suspect was arrested after he lodged a report on the death of his 37-year-old brother, at the Jalan Campbell police station here around 9.15am.

Seremban police chief, ACP Muhamad Zaki Harun said the suspect confessed to being responsible for his brother's death.

Muhamad Zaki said, the incident happened around 11pm yesterday when the victim, who was mentally unstable, was scolded by his brother for peeing in his pants.

"The suspect also scolded his brother because the latter didn’t heed his advice to go to the room on the upper floor of the two-storey house. This caused the suspect to kick his brother and punch his head. The victim then went to sleep," he reportedly said.

However, this morning, the suspect realised his brother was no longer breathing. He then proceeded to lodge a report.

Muhamad Zaki reportedly said, only the two brothers were at home at the time as the rest of the family were in Johor.

"Post-mortem results showed that the victim died due to severe head injuries.

"The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. The suspect will be remanded tomorrow to facilitate investigations," he reportedly said.
