Malaysia and Qatar today signed four Memorandum of Understanding in the field of legal and judicial cooperation, training of diplomats, and higher education.

The signing was witnessed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Hamad Al-Thani in conjunction with his two-day state visit to Malaysia.

The first two MoU on the fields of training of diplomats and Higher Education were signed between Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman and his counterpart Sheikh Mohammad Abdulrahman Al-Thani.

Sheikh Mohammad also signed another MoU on legal cooperation activities with Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali.

The fourth MoU on judicial cooperation was signed between Chief Registrar of Federal Court Malaysia Datuk Seri Latifah Mohd Tahar and President of the Supreme Judicial Council Masoud Mohamed A Amiri.
