The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on Thursday recorded the statement of the director-general of an enforcement agency concerning a golf set worth RM45,000 which he received.

According to sources in MACC, statements were also recorded from three officers including a personal assistant of the director-general on the case.

"The man, in his 50s, was believed to have received a golf set worth more than RM40,000 from certain parties.

"MACC has recorded a statement from the man at his office today (Thursday) and investigation is underway," he said.

The source said no arrests were made on the case to date.
