The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) must view the report lodged by PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli over alleged corruption in the Selangor state administration seriously said UMNO Supreme Council member Datuk Irmohizam Ibrahim.

In a statement today Irmohizam said the Pandan Member of Parliament would not simply submit any report without evidence, more so when it involved the alleged misconduct in the PKR-led government which is his own party.

Last month, Rafizi lodged a report at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya and handed information and evidence of alleged misconduct in the Selangor state government's administration which he claimed involved certain people.

Recently, some news portals reported that there were corrupt practices in the administration of the Selangor state government.

The reports came following a leaked screen shot of Rafizi’s conversation in a WhatsApp chat group that was circulated on social media about allegations of graft and 'requests for women' in dealings with the Selangor state government.

Elaborating further, Irmohizam said the demand for money and women in dealing with the state government is a serious offence and if such allegations were true, all evidence must be provided in a transparent manner, including the names of witnesses to facilitate investigations.
