The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has launched its multilingual portal and online radio, MACC.FM, as part of its efforts to educate the public on corruption issues and improve the confidence of the public in the commission.

Its deputy chief commissioner (Prevention) Datuk Seri Mustafar Ali said the MACC's official portal had become more friendly-user as it could now be accessed in three languages - Malay, English and Mandarin.

"Apart from making search process easy for the users, the transformation of the portal, which was developed based on three key functions namely operation, prevention and education, also provides a more interactive statistic report by improving the quick search in Corruption Convicts Information data archive to function automatically.

"The portal also offers links to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Academy and Anti Corruption and Ethics Centre (ACE) mini sites under the one-stop centre concept to provide centralised access to users," he said at the launch of the portal and online radio here Wednesday.

Mustafar said the improvement on the portal was done due to the importance of the portal in spreading anti-corruption message to its target group and as at last Monday, the portal had been visited eight million times.

On MACC.FM, he said he was confident that it would empower MACC's efforts to spread the anti-corruption messages to the public through announcements, advertisements and interviews with relevant individuals.

He said the medium was created following the MACC Action Effectiveness Perception Survey 2015 which revealed that 70 per cent of the respondents understood anti-corruption message spread through radio.

Using the tagline of My Anti Corruption Channel, Internet users can listen to MACC.FM at www.macc.fm or download the application from Google Playstore and Appstore.
