The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) in Negeri Sembilan issued 12 notices to barber shops and beauty salon operators in the state today seeking clarification on their service charges.

State KPDNHEP director Ain Arjuna Aziz Zaman said the notices were issued to three barbershops in Seremban, five in Port Dickson and four in Kuala Pilah.

He said the shopowners would be given between three to five days to respond, and warning notices would subsequently be issued to them, with further action taken against those found to be profiteering.

"We welcome all cooperation from consumers to report to the ministry in case of any unreasonable price hikes at barbershops and beauty salons," he told reporters after visiting a hairdressing firm here today.
