Water supply to the areas in Kuala Lumpur that experienced disruptions due to low water production at the Sungai Langat Water Treatment Plant is expected to be fully restored by Friday.

A statement from Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) said that water supply had been restored in 41 per cent of the affected areas as of 1pm today.

"The water supply to the areas located on higher ground and at the end of water distribution system will take some time to be fully restored," it said.

The statement also said that every effort was being made to speed up the restoration of water supply.

The plant was operating normally since noon yesterday. -- BERNAMA
