Batu Kawan Umno vice-chief Datuk Paduka Khairuddin Abu Hassan today lodged a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), here, concerning the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

Speaking to reporters after the report was made, he said it will allow detailed and continuous investigations to be carried out on the transparency of the administration, as well as expenditure and funds of the government-owned company.

While emphasising that his action was on the capacity of a tax payer and caring citizen, the husband to actress Umie Aida said he has compiled evidence, including in print form, to support the report.

Khairuddin also filed a report on 1MDB last December.

Meanwhile, Khairuddin said he was ready to accept any decision made by the Umno headquarters regarding his position as Batu Kawan Umno vice-chief after he was declared bankrupt by the Insolvency Department.

Earlier today, Datuk Khairuddin Abu Hassan was reported to have apologised to his wife, Umie Aida for dragging the actress into the issue involving their house which was 'auctioned off' for some RM2 million last Saturday.

He however, said, the issue was just a misunderstanding and admitted there was already a buyer who is willing to buy the property at RM5.8 million.
