Kelantan UMNO has condemned the Bersih 4 rally in Kuala Lumpur today and tomorrow, saying it could undermine harmony and peace.

Kelantan UMNO Liaison Committee chairman Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed slammed the organiser as impudent for having picked the date and venue to coincide with the National Day celebration.

"They picked the venue and date of the National Day celebration although they were offered another venue," he told reporters after opening the Pasir Mas UMNO Division delegates meeting here.

The police have declared the rally illegal, saying it did not meet the conditions of the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012.

In MUAR, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Razali Ibrahim referred to the rally as a 'game' of the organiser that did not benefit anyone.

He said the organiser should respect the rights of other Malaysians, such as traders and people who wanted to spend the weekend outdoors with their families.

Razali said those who wanted to hold rallies should do so at indoor stadiums where the gathering would be under control and did not pose any hindrance to the people.
