The Home Ministry (KDN) will summon The Star newspaper's Editor-in-Chief in the wake of the newspaper allegedly seen to be insensitive to the feelings of Muslims in the country.

Its secretary-general Datuk Seri Alwi Ibrahim said the Ministry was disappointed that the newspaper in a perfunctory manner displayed a photograph of Muslims performing the "terawih" prayers on the eve of Ramadan while the headline read ''Malaysian Terrorist Leader'' on its front page yesterday.

"Tomorrow we will call the Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper to give an explanation on the link between the photograph and the front page headline yesterday."

"If the ministry is not satisfied with the explanation, further action will be taken including issuing a show-cause letter," he said when met at the "Deputy Prime Minister with Home Ministry Staff" session here, today.
