The Kim Jong-nam murder case has been fixed for mention on July 28 at Shah Alam High Court.

Two women, Indonesian Siti Aisyah and Vietnamese Doan Thi Huong are accused with four others still at large of murdering Jong-nam or Kim Chol, 45, who was the brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (klia2) around 9am on Feb 13.

Selangor prosecution director Muhamad Iskandar Ahmad told reporters waiting outside the Kajang Prison Complex that the date was set by Shah Alam High Court deputy registrar Mohamad Nasrudin Mohamed at today's proceeding held inside the Kajang women's prison.

"Forty-four sets of document were handed to the defence today," he said revealing also that the proceeding lasted 30 minutes during which representatives from the Vietnam and Indonesian embassies were also present.

He said the case was initially fixed for hearing at Shah Alam High Court but the venue was relocated to Kajang Prison for security reasons.

According to him, the plea of the two accused might be recorded when the case is brought for mention, before justice Datuk Azmi Ariffin.

Meanwhile, Doan's counsel Datuk Naran Singh said the documents received from the prosecution included the autopsy report on Kim Chol, photographs on the post-mortem, chemistry report and statements recorded from the two accused.

Asked about the CCTV footage on the alleged incident, the lawyer said he expected to obtain the copy soon.

On the condition of the two accused, he replied, "They looked fine; in fact the deputy registrar asked them if they had any complaint and they said there is no complaint; they looked good," he said.

Siti Aisyah's lawyer Gooi Soon Seng said he planned to submit a representation to the Attorney-General's Chambers for the charge to be reviewed. However he did not reveal when he would do so.

On March 1, the two accused were charged at Sepang Magistrate's Court with murder, under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries the death sentence on conviction. But no plea were taken from them as the case is under the jurisdiction of the High Court.

The case was transferred to Shah Alam High Court on May 30.

On Feb 13, Jong-nam was at klia2 to board a flight to Macau when he was approached by two women who suddenly wiped his face with some liquid, which was later identified as VX, a toxic nerve agent.

Jong-nam who had used a passport under the name, Kim Chol, died on the way to Putrajaya Hospital. Since Feb 6 before the incident he had been staying in Malaysia.
