The Road Transport Department (JPJ) is ready to assist the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) and the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) in all roadblocks during the ongoing period of the Movement Control Order (MCO).

According to Road Transport Department (JPJ) director-general Datuk Seri Shaharuddin Khalid, it was in line with the media statement by Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on Thursday.

"The RTD will liaise with the PDRM for the purpose of coordinating the tasks and arrangements of personnel so that the planned operation complies with the guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

"JPJ is always committed to serving the community especially in this COVID-19 pandemic," he said in a statement on Thursday.

The MCO, which started on March 18, is now entering its second phase which will end on April 14.
