Johor princess Tunku Tun Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Sultan Ibrahim completed a khatam al-Quran (completion of al-Quran recital) at the Istana Bukit Serene in Johor Bahru, today.

Images, including one depicting Tunku Tun Aminah sitting on a dais reciting verses of the al-Quran were shared by the Johor Royal Palace media and communication office, Royal Palace Office (RPO) in conjunction with the Royal Family Wedding Ceremony of Tunku Tun Aminah and Dennis Muhammad Abdullah on Monday.

Raja Permaisuri Johor, Raja Zarith Sofiah Sultan Idris Shah was present at the closed-door ceremony, news portal Berita Harian reported today.

Also present at the ceremony were Tengku Puan Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Sultan Iskandar, Royal consorts of Perak and Johor district officers’ wives.

The completion of al-Quran recital ceremony was accompanied by Tunku Tun Aminah’s religious teacher, Raimah Kemat.
