Sungai Besar UMNO division chief Datuk Jamal Yunos was arrested at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Sepang at around 8.30am today.

The Himpunan Baju Merah red shirt movement leader was held by the police upon arrival from Dubai, United Arab Emirates and taken to the Dang Wangi district police headquarters (IPD).

According to Bernama, Jamal arrived at the Dang Wangi IPD about 10.30 am for questioning and was accompanied by his lawyer.

It is understood that Jamal or his aide will be holding a press conference later if he is released today.

Dang Wangi district police chief, ACP Zainol Samah confirmed Jamal's arrest but declined to elaborate.
