A Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) officer and six personnel who allegedly let their guard down at an entertainment centre in Muar near here, have been transferred to other departments with immediate effect.

Johor police chief Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd said disciplinary action was taken on the policemen duly after PDRM received information about the incident.

"PDRM cannot compromise on any disciplinary breach and will act sternly on those involved," he said in a statement here today.

He said all PDRM officers and personnel must live up to the integrity required of them in upholding PDRM's image as the country's main law enforcers.

Mohd Khalil was commenting on a video which went viral on Facebook allegedly showing the policemen believed to be from Unit D7, Muar District Police headquarters, 'having fun' at an entertainment centre at Pusat Perniagaan Bakri, Muar.

The nine seconds recording was circulated early yesterday through the Facebook account, 'Koleksi Video Viral (KVV)'.
