Mudslide: Cleanup in motion, highway remains closed


The Kuala Lumpur Karak (KLK) Highway remained closed to traffic for cleaning work, following the mudslide on Wednesday evening. Several bulldozers of expressway concessionaire, Anih Berhad began cleaning since 9.30am Thursday. Vehicles which are currently on the East-Coast Highway can make a U-turn to return to their original location.

A landslide occurred at KM52.4 of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway (KLK) near Bukit Tinggi on Wednesday evening. According to the Malaysian Highway Authority's official Twitter (@LLMinfotrafik), both north- and south-bound roads have been closed and traffic was at a standstill.
