THURSDAY, May 19: EgyptAir flight crashes in Mediterranean with 66 on board

An EgyptAir flight from Paris to Cairo crashed into the Mediterranean with 66 people on board, prompting an investigation into whether it was mechanical failure or a bomb.

The Airbus A320 carrying 66 people had been flying from Paris to Cairo early Thursday when it plummeted and turned full circle before vanishing off radar. - Filepic

SATURDAY, May 21: Fishing boat with 12 Malaysians missing in Pulau Aur waters

A fishing boat, carrying 12 Malaysians including 10 anglers, which went out to sea since Tuesday (May 17) is believed to be missing in the Pulau Aur waters, off Mersing.
