Persatuan Ummah Sejahtera Malaysia (Pasma) president Datuk Phahrolrazi Zawawi said he did not regard PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang's statement asking Pasma to quit PAS as something serious.

He said Hadi's statement on Pasma yesterday was nothing new as the latter had said the same before.

"I am really not bothered with his (Hadi) statement as it was a repeated statement," he told Bernama today.

Phahrolrazi, who is the assembyman for Pengkalan Kundor in the Kuala Kedah parliamentary constituency, said Hadi and other PAS leaders might not have had correct information on Pasma.

Yesterday, the PAS president through his social website, Facebook page posting, "welcomed" Pasma to leave the apposition party if it was not on the same wavelength with PAS.

Phahrolrazi said there was no need for Pasma to leave PAS as it was only a non-governmental organisation, hence it was outside and not inside PAS.

He said when he met the PAS president at a function organised by Kuala Kedah PAS in Alor Setar last week, the latter did not say anything about Pasma or raise any issue with him.

Phahrolrazi also said that more people, including from other opposition parties, had joined Pasma since PAS leaders had been openly criticising Pasma of late.
