Pakatan Rakyat (PR) Leadership Council today has agreed to hold a special meeting soon to discuss issues relating to the shariah criminal enactment or hudud law and local council elections.

"Council leaders has agreed to hold a special meeting to discuss and formulate solutions concerning issues of the shariah criminal enactment and local government elections," said Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in a press conference after the meeting between PR leaders.

Anwar was also informed that PR will hold its convention on 10 May which most likely be held in Kuala Lumpur.

Meanwhile, DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng also informed that PR will hold an emergency meeting soon after the court’s ruling for Anwar's case on February 10.

However, PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang who attended the meeting, was not present at the press conference as he had to rush to Shah Alam for an event.

Meanwhile, PAS vice-president Salahuddin Ayub told reporters that relations between Abdul Hadi and DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, said to be "heated up", was cordial at today's meeting.

Also present at the meeting were PAS secretary-general Datuk Mustafa Ali and Parti Keadilan Rakyat president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
