The remains of the helicopter crash victim in Semenyih, Kyrgyzstan national Aidana Baizeva, has been claimed from the Kuala Lumpur hospital by her family and a representative from the Kyrgyzstan Embassy on Thursday evening.

Selangor police chief, Datuk Abdul Samah Mat, said the remains were claimed by her stepsister, Luisa Baizeva, together with a representative of the Embassy at 5.30pm.

A local funeral company made arrangements for her remains to be transported to the KL International Airport (KLIA) and the remains were expected to be flown aboard an Air Astana flight to her hometown at 10.55am Friday, he told Bernama here on Thursday.

He said he was satisfied with the results of the DNA testing of the victim and her stepsister, and now the issue over the bodies of all six victims of the AS365N2 Dauphin (9M-1GB) helicopter that crashed in a rubber plantation area in Kampung Sungai Pening, Semenyih, on Saturday evening has seen a closure.

He said, the police were currently together with the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) investigating the cause of the crash.

Besides Aidana, those who died in the crash were Rompin Member of Parliament and Chairman of PR1MA Corporation Malaysia (PR1MA) Tan Sri Dr Jamaluddin Jarjis; Principal Private Secretary to the Prime Minister, Datuk Azlin Alias; businessman Datuk Tan Huat Seang; Jamaluddin's bodyguard, Corporal Razkan Seran and helicopter pilot Captain Clifford Fournier.

All of them were on their way home from Pekan, Pahang, to Kuala Lumpur after attending the wedding reception of the daughter of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Nooryana Najwa and Daniyar Kessibayev.
