Only two cities in Selangor recorded 'unhealthy' Air Pollution Index levels on Tuesday.

According to the Department of Environment's (DoE) website as at 8pm, Nilai dan Banting recorded a reading of 102.

The majority of cities in Malaysia recorded 'Moderate' readings like Muar (87), Bakar Arang, Sg Petani (67), Bandaraya Melaka (89), Bukit Rambai (90), Seremban (89), Seri Manjung (55), Pelabuhan Kelang (83), Petaling Jaya (90), Batu Muda, Kuala Lumpur (99).

Among the cities which recorded 'Good' readings are Kota Tinggi (41), Langkawi (34), Indera Mahkota, Kuantan (40), Jerantut (37), Kuala Terengganu (27) dan Labuan (31).

This is an improvement as compared to the situation in the morning, especially in Selangor. At 8 in the morning, Pelabuhan Kelang recorded a reading of 132, followed by Banting (133), Shah Alam (126), Petaling Jaya (127) and Kuala Selangor (108).

API readings of 5-50 is 'Good', 51-100 is 'Moderate', 101-200 is 'Unhealthy', 201-300 'very Unhealthy' and above 300 is 'Dangerous'.
