The haze appears to be diminishing without any area recording unhealthy air quality nationwide as of 2pm today.

The Department of Environment in its portal stated that 38 areas recorded moderate air pollutant index (API) readings, including Port Dickson (99); Bandaraya Melaka (92); Bukit Rambai (91); Cheras, Kuala Lumpur (90); Banting (86); and Port Klang, Seremban, Seri Manjung and Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang (83).

Other areas that recorded moderate API readings were Pasir Gudang and Larkin Lama (80); and Langkawi, Nilai, Kuala Terengganu and Putrajaya (79).

Meanwhile, 14 areas in Sabah and Sarawak recorded good API readings of between 26 and 50.

An API reading of 0 to 50 indicates good air quality; 51 to 100, moderate; 101 to 200, unhealthy; 201 to 300, very unhealthy; and 300 and above, hazardous.
