All areas which reached an ‘unhealthy’ Air Pollution Index (API) reading on Tuesday, have recorded ‘moderate’ reading, Wednesday.

The Department of Environment (DoE) website reading at 9am stated that Port Klang which recorded a reading of 132 on Tuesday, has decreased to 56.

Banting, which recorded the second highest reading on Tuesday, has also gone down to 76, Wednesday.

Other areas in Selangor like Petaling Jaya recorded API reading of 58, Shah Alam (57) and Kuala Selangor (46).

Among the areas which still record a slightly high but ‘moderate’ API reading are Bukit Rambai (82), Nilai (81), Malacca (79), Muar (78), Seremban (77), Batu Muda (77), Sg Petani (74), Port Dickson (73) and Kuantan (72).

Meanwhile, places which record Good’ API reading are Taiping (50), Kota Tinggi (43), Pasir Gudang (43), Langkawi (40), Kota Kinabalu (37) and Miri (25).

On Wednesday morning, two areas, Seri Manjung, Perak and Nilai, Negeri Sembilan recorded ‘unhealthy’ IPU reading of 103 and 102 respectively.

API readings of 5-50 is 'Good', 51-100 is 'Moderate', 101-200 is 'Unhealthy', 201-300 'very Unhealthy' and above 300 is 'Dangerous'
