Air quality in most areas nationwide is good or moderate this morning.

However, three areas recorded unhealthy air pollutant index (API) readings, namely, Bandaraya Melaka (112), Bukit Rambai (107) and Nilai (103), as of 8 am.

The Department of Environment in its website stated that Muar recorded unhealthy air quality at 7 am but improved to moderate, one hour later.

The API reading for Kuala Lumpur is generally moderate, between 75 and 80, similarly for Putrajaya (76).

An API reading of 0-50 is categorised as good, 51-100 (moderate), 101-200 (unhealthy), 201-300 (very unhealthy) and 301 and above (hazardous).
