Four people were found dead in a fire which almost destroyed a double storey terrace house at USJ 2 in Subang Jaya, here, this morning.

However, the identities of the deceased had yet to be established.

The fire was reported to have started at about 5.30am Monday, before firefighters from the Subang Jaya Fire Department were rushed to the scene.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations, Mohd Sani Harul said all of the victims were found at around 6am, after the fire was brought under control.

"Two bodies were found in a bedroom at 6.41am and another (body) in a bathroom, while the fourth body was found 5 minutes later in a separate bedroom," he said when contacted by Astro AWANI.

He added that the house was 80 percent destroyed and the department is still investigating the cause of the fire.

The victims believed to have died from smoke inhalation.
