The Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) in the area of Jalan Othman Market in Petaling Jaya, which has been in force for the past 11 days, will be terminated tomorrow.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, the location was the last area where the EMCO had been terminated.

However, he said there were still other areas under the EMCO by administration.

"The EMCO, which is being enforced in the Jalan Othman Market area in Petaling Jaya will end tomorrow, May 22," he said at a press conference here Thursday.

According to records, since May 10, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has conducted health screening on 2,532 residents around the Jalan Othman Market area.

Of those, 848 were foreigners.

The screening identified a local who was COVID-19 positive while 13 others were still waiting.

Ismail Sabri said residents were advised to follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set out under the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) especially during the festive season.
