The online bulletin, e-Rakyat, is proof that the Barisan Nasional (BN) government has a detailed plan to fulfill the aspiration to prosper the people and ensure their wellbeing, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

He said the move to create the online bulletin also showed that the BN was not a party which would just talk the talk, but one that would really walk the talk.

"Through the e-Rakyat bulletin, we will ensure that all the government policies will reach the people at every corner of the country," he said when launching the bulletin here tonight.

Also present were Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor and Communication and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak.

Najib said the bulletin would also be the 'feel good' factor of all the BN's efforts and hard work.

Najib said the bulletin, which could be accessed from all social media platforms, offers true, accurate and without prejudice information on BN's efforts in championing the people's issues.

He said in this era of technology, there exists an information gap and not every citizens in the country would know what the government had done for them.

"This is true especially when there are efforts to confuse the people or facts that are incorrect or semi-correct.

"We create the e-Rakyat bulletin on the social media platform because information on physical form can no longer attract the people," he said.

Najib said the bulletin, which is available in multiple languages, including Malay, English, Mandarin, Tamil, Kadazan and Iban, also reflected the BN's inclusive policy.

"At the moment, the bulletin has eight pages and will be updated twice a month.

"But for now, it is being updated daily," he said.
