KUALA LUMPUR:"Set and keep your intentions, whatever the challenges, we shall stand together to continue this struggle," said Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah to all frontliners in the fight against COVID-19 in the country.

The message was conveyed  through a short documentary video ‘Terima Kasih Frontliners Malaysia’ made in appreciation of frontline heroes and heroines for their tireless efforts ever since December 2019.

In the four-minute-58-second video, he reminded that despite the anxieties and gruelling work schedule, all employees should remain strong and stay true to their goals in working to provide their best  services to break the chain of infection.

It is not the promotion, medals or cash rewards that we yearn for, he said.

"What is important is, let sincerity be the guiding principle in our struggle for the sake of our patients, community and beloved country. This is not the time for us to find faults and to pointlessly point fingers.

"May we continue to persevere to achieve victory which is to break the COVID-19 chain in our country," he said in the short documentary video uploaded on his official Twitter and Facebook, today.

The video accompanied by the song 'Malaysia' sung by singer/composer Faizal Tahir, shows sad scenes and painful moments faced by frontline workers from various agencies including the Ministry of Health (MOH), Royal Malaysia Police and the Armed Forces as they battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Netizens were generally touched after watching the video and some sent out their words of gratitude as they salute the frontliners.
