Police today confirmed that the body found in an oil drum filled with concrete in Subang Jaya on Thursday belonged to former Attorney-General Chambers’ Appellate and Trial Division deputy chief, Anthony Kevin Morais.

Kuala Lumpur CID chief Datuk Zainuddin Ahmad said the confirmation was made after DNA tests on the body was found positive with the DNA samples provided for analysis.

Zainuddin however added that pathologists where still conducting tests to determine the cause of death.

Meanwhile, the search team have yet to discover any evidence believed to have been thrown by the suspects in a river in Kuala Selangor.

The search involved several agencies such as the Royal Malaysian Police, the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department and the Malaysian Civil Defence Department.

It is believed that the suspects threw a blunt object used to murder Morais and his mobile phone into the river in Kuala Selangor.
