The black box of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Aermacchi MB-339 trainer jet which crashed last week, involving two personnel, will be sent to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to be analysed.

RMAF Chief General Tan Sri Roslan Saad said, it is meant to identify the actual cause of the accident which took place near Nenasi, Pahang, last Tuesday.

At the same time, he said, comprehensive investigation is also being conducted by RMAF, taking into consideration various aspects including technical, training defect and human fault.

“The data from the black box will be handed over to OEM and then only we can give a confirmation,” he said today after an event at the Air Force College here.
