PUTRAJAYA: The Ministry of Health (MOH) has detected another new cluster involving security guards and security personnel at a shopping mall in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.

Director-General of Health Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said it involved 10 COVID-19 positive cases of nine Nepalese and one local citizen.
"The cause of infection for this cluster is still under investigation. Further precautionary measures and precautions have been taken such as identifying and conducting a COVID-19 screening test on all employees and their close contacts.

"All Nepalese people in this cluster live in the same home in Cheras. COVID-19 screening was conducted on the residents, security guards and security personnel at the mall, as well as closely connected supermarket workers," he said in a daily press conference here on Thursday.
To date, a total of 436 people have been screened with 10 positive cases, 347 negative and 79 pending results.

The Cheras and Titiwangsa District Health Office (PKD) will continue to monitor the COVID-19 increase in the cluster.
