Monitoring and surveillance on three COVID-19 clusters have ended today.

Director-General of Health, Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said it involved the Ayer Merbau Madrasah Cluster, the Kampung Baru Cluster and the Malayan Mansion Cluster.

"The COVID-19 cluster report has completed monitoring and surveillance for more than 28 days until June 1, 2020. The first cluster, Madrasah Ayer Merbau in Jasin, Melaka involved 41 cases and no deaths.

“The Kampung Baru cluster involved 24 cases and one death. The Malayan Mansion Cluster involved 13 cases and no deaths," he said at a press conference here today.

Dr Noor Hisham said the number of samples taken from the Sri Petaling cluster was 41,468.

The number of COVID-19 positive cases from these clusters was 3,373 cases or 8.13 per cent.

Meanwhile, a total of 407 tahfiz schools and madrasah have conducted COVID-19 screening.

"To date, 15,329 samples have been taken and out of that, 696 are positive COVID-19. Those who are positive and symptomatic are 97 people and 599 are not symptomatic," he added.
